Police detain Sang Saka Malaya flag duo. Why let go those who waved the Kurdish flags?

The police had proudly announced that they had recently detained the two youths who displayed the Sang Saka Malaya flags on the eve of Merdeka Day at the Dataran Merdeka. So what?

The police are clearly selective politically when dealing with such case. In this issue, where these youths who are supporters of Janji Demokrasi rally which was held on 30 August 2012, the police are quick to nab them and put them into the lock-up.

So, again we would like to remind the police. What about those Umno Youth and Perkasa demonstrators who held a violent demonstration in Penang previously displaying the Kurdistan flag? Why, despite a number of police report lodged against these bastards, the police choose to ignore it and no action were taken to identify those culprits out there who waved the Kurdish flag.

Those from Umno and Perkasa who displayed the Kurdish flag were let off just like that just because both Umno and Perkasa were part of the Barisan Nasional (BN) regime, while those two boys who waved the Sang Saka Malaya flag in order to remind our younger generations of the actual history of the independence struggle were arrested just because they wanted to reveal the truth. Why are they being arrested? Because they were not supporters of the BN regime, but they strongly uphold the Bersih's demands for electoral reforms instead.

Again, we would repeat, the police are clearly siding with the ruling BN regime and has not being professional in discharging their duties and responsibilities. When dealing with BN and Pakatan Rakyat, the police are politically selective by openly supporting the BN regime's persecution against Pakatan supporters at large and ignore BN law breakers who are the ones threatening the nation's unity, security and public order.

And this is why we need the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) to be in placed here in our nation in order to check the orders and actions of the police force. The fact that is, the police force now are being clearly used by the BN regime for their political ends and this must be stopped at all costs.
