OSINDAK or Sinda, information technology is shining on Tenom, a rural district deep in the interior of Sabah about 194 km (120.5 miles) away from Kota Kinabalu. Sinda in Murut means shine.
Tenom is home to about 60,000 people; half of whom are indigenous Muruts. A two-day Sinda-iT programme last week brought young and old together all eager to know what computer technology has in store for them.
Sinda-iT comes under the Aramai-iT programme of the ministry of resource development and information technology. It is targeted at youth aged between 10 and 18 who form about a quarter of Tenom’s population.
Some 250 of them from four villages learnt not only how to play computer games, but they got a thrill of working with Microsoft Office software, knowing the outside world at a click of a mouse and getting a feel of gadgets such as digital cameras, iPads and iPhones. (Insight Sabah)
Pendedahan seperti ini sangat baik dilakukan dikawasan pendalaman.
ReplyDeleteKerajaann perlulah memastikan penduduk dikawasan pendalaman ini tidak ketinggalan dengan kemajuan dalam ICT yang ada sekarang ini.
ReplyDeletePembukaan bilik komputer dikawasan pendalaman juga antara cara dan usaha yang baik dilakukan.
ReplyDeleteBagus juga ada pihak yang datang kekampung-kampung menjelaskan akan perkembangan semasa sekarang mengenai ICT.
ReplyDeleteKita sokong apa pun usaha yang dibuat oleh kerajaan untuk memasitkan penduduk dikawasan pendalaman ini tidak akan ketinggalan dengan pembangunan ICT.

ReplyDeleteWider use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom will be a major consideration when the Government revamps the national education system. Hopefully they can implemented this in rural areas also.

About 100 villagers converged on Kota Kinabalu on November 29 for a conference on how “e-Desa strengthens their community”. The centres are a boon to them as they no longer feel isolated from the rest of the world. They get up to date information on things that affect farming and their livelihood.

Peralatan sistem teknologi solar adalah sumbangan MOSTI dan agensinya Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn.Bhd. (TPM).
ReplyDeleteSelain tenaga solar, MOSTI dan TPM menyumbang enam komputer dan dua mesin pencetak dengan kos kira-kira RM100,000.00..
Dr. Ongkili berkata, beliau berharap sumbangan tersebut dapat membantu meningkatkan pencapaian sekolah dan pada masa yang sama memudahkan warga pendidik mendapatkan bahan pengajaran.
