BROKEN PROMISES GONE WITH THE WIND?

PROPOSED..... Andrew showing the signboard of the proposed south bus terminal site.

PUBLIC transport in KK City is becoming nasality for the public. The population is increasing fast in the city, and we are in need of an efficient and reliable transport system and management to ensure public transport in the city runs smoothly for the comfort and convenience of the people.

However, the state government and DBKK are not serious in solving the matter and have just left the matter as "Not Urgent or No Hurry". Special Assistant to KK MP Hiew King Cheu, Andrew Lee Chee Kiong received public complaints and expression of disappointment with anger over this matter.
He carried out a site inspection where the proposed Kapayan South Bus Terminal is to be build (Opposite Police HQ). The site had been fenced up and there is no sign of other construction work in progress.

The Kapayan South Bus Terminal is to be built, but sadly it did not kick off. The South Bus terminal once it is completed will solve the traffic congestion in the KK city center. What happened along the way and why the bus terminal wasn’t continue to be built after the completion of site clearing in 2009.

The public should be informed of the reason why the project had been at a standstill. We were made to understand that the Federal Government had allocated RM50 million for the Kapayan South Bus Terminal project. Where is the promised fund?

The project is managed by DBKK, and they have spent a few million in doing the site clearing work. Sabah DAP urges the relevant authorities to look into this matter for the public interest. The public want to know when exactly when the work in this proposed bus terminal can resume work. Is this a typical “Janji Tidak Ditepati” of the BN Government? - Sabahkini
